First Congregational Church of East Bloomfield

Rich in heritage, bonded in love, growing in Christ.

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.
Serve the Lord with gladness;
come before his presence with singing.

Music is an integral part of our worship experience, strengthening and enhancing our services and enriching the lives of our members.  We praise God by singing together the hymns of our past and the contemporary hymns and music from the present.

We draw on a rich variety of styles to enhance the worship through the use of the pipe organ, keyboard, piano, guitar, pre-recorded accompaniments - whatever helps in making the worship the most meaningful!  We are also blessed with singers and instrumentalists who provide special music several times during the year. The church also sponsors concerts performed by local singing groups such as Finger Lakes Chorale and Finger Lakes Camerata. The special events are a "must hear!"

The choir is a fellowship that meets and rehearses every Wednesday night, 7:30 p.m., at the church, and sings every Sunday during worship.  Everyone is welcome - there are no auditions!

One our favorite songs is How Can I Keep From Singing. We feel it best describes the joy found in raising our voices in praise. Click on the play button below to enjoy the church choir's singing this uplifting song:

Every year, we gather at Bloomfield Meadows to sing Christmas carols to the residents. We enjoy singing the traditional hymns and carols - and they enjoy hearing us!
