First Congregational Church of East Bloomfield

Rich in heritage, bonded in love, growing in Christ.

Mission Sundays
On the first Sunday of each month, two offering plates are passed. The wicker plate is a special offering for outreach to the community and local missions.

We also encourage people to bring can goods and paper goods for the community Blessings cupboard. Paper products and personal care items are not covered by food stamps and donations of these items is appreciated.

Church Council: The council meets the first Sunday of every month after the worship service (generally around 11:30 or 12:00 AM). All are welcome to attend.

Women's Breakfast
The first Monday of each month. We meet at Brady J's Diner (24 Maple Avenue, Bloomfield, NY) at 9:00 a.m.  The Women's Breakfast is open to any woman who enjoys fellowship over breakfast. You don't have to join the group--just come.

Men's Breakfast
The last Sunday of every month. We meet at Brady J's Diner at 7:45 AM. This breakfast is also open to any man who enjoys fellowship over breakfast. You don't have to join the group--just come.

Choir Practice: The choir meets at 7:30 PM every Wednesday at the church. All are welcome to come sing. The choir also meets at 9:15 AM every Sunday, so if you can't make it on Wednesdays, you are more than welcome to just attend the Sunday rehearsals. A great way to worship!

Free Friday Supper
A community supper is offered free to the community on the last Friday of September and October, then January through April. The meal is open to all who would like to attend; serving times are 5:00-6:30 pm. Everyone is welcome. Handicap parking is available in the parking lot off of 5 & 20.

Book Club

The church book club meets at 9:30 a.m. on the third Thursday of each month January through June, then September through December. The members decide what to read at the start of each year and select all types of fiction ranging from the classics to modern new releases. They meet in the Memorial Room at the church and would love to see you.

Overcomers Recovery Ministry:

The church hosts Overcomers meetings every Sunday evening from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Life can leave us carrying burdens that seem impossible to overcome. Life can leave us carrying burdens that seem impossible to overcome. Whether you are struggling with addiction, anxiety, depression, grief, anger, codependency, past trauma, unhealthy habits, or simply feeling lost, you don't have to face it alone. Overcomers is a safe, confidential, and supportive recovery ministry where people come together to find healing through Jesus Christ.

No matter your past, there is hope. No matter your story, you are welcome.
